I’m Michelle, the owner and operator of Digsies. I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband Clark and our two kids, Rudy and Vay. Being born and raised in Utah, I never imagined I’d end up in New York City, but a few stars aligned and here we have been since 2013. Clark and I met in high school and got married when we were both tiny babies and we’ve been very happily married for 10 years.
City life is what you might imagine it to be, fabulous in so many ways, and defeating in all of the other ones. But like an abusive relationship, the city always wins back your love!
I played soccer my entire childhood, then worked my way through college as a hairstylist and a bicycle mechanic (that’s where I learned how to figure shit out). I got a degree in art, dabbling in drawing/painting, printmaking, photography, art education, before finally finding my happy place getting my hands dirty in the ceramics studio.
Staying at home with kids in a small Brooklyn apartment, I tried to stay sane by keeping my interests alive. I started an etsy/IG shop selling and trading vintage kids clothes, and fell in love with kids fashion. Then I started buying up vintage fabric during my thrifting outings with a dream to someday make kids clothes out of it.
4ish years later. . . Voilà, Digsies!
